Hendrie Not Sacked

Well, looks like the boys on www.blackandwhitearmy.com were mislead by their source, or tried pulling off a windup. Fortunately we can now see div kicking Morton's mascot on Saturday, and all go to a party at a strip club paid for by Eminem's Mother. Despite the three separate reports, they still claim Hendrie will be gone by Saturday!

Speaking in today's edition of the Daily Record, Hendrie says he is still in a job though funnily enough doesn't blame himself for the speculation, but Scotsport presenter Jim Delahunt who said that Saints fans were about to see a "horror show". Hendrie said: "It is true to say the last two results have not been the best for St Mirren. But it is absolute nonsense to suggest I am no longer the manager of this club. Sunday's Scotsport programme did not help matters nor did a website report but you have to learn to deal with these things almost on a daily basis. I've spoken to the board and vice-chairman George Campbell put me straight on the matter. As far as I know everything is fine with myself and the board. I've got nearly three years left on my current deal with St Mirren and hopefully I will see that out." Hendrie also spoke on Radio Clyde this morning, but I missed that so can't tell you what he said, other than that he's still in the job.

If that wasn't enough evidence he's still in charge, Stewart Gilmour clears things up in today's PDE. Gilmour said: "Tom Hendrie has not been sacked. Tom Hendrie has not resigned. We are not negotiating terms for the termination of Tom Hendrie’s contract. Tom Hendrie remains manager of St Mirren FC. Sacking Tom Hendrie is not an option, even if we wanted to, we could not afford to. Certainly I have had a serious chat with Tom about Saturday’s result and performance. The players have also been made aware of how unacceptable the performance was, but the position is, we all have to get on with things and turn it around. The transfer window has slammed shut, until January we have to go with the players who are at the club, that’s the reality of our situation. I heard I had at least three face-to-face meetings with Tom yesterday, Monday, at 9am, 5pm and again in the evening - total nonsense."

So there we are. Tom Hendrie is still in a job and will not be sacked. End of story. I apologise if I mislead anyone with the stories on Monday and Tuesday, but I did warn the people that use this site they came from an unofficial source and were not leaked to me by someone from the club.
