Hendrie Back In Business

Last updated : 25 November 2003 By Stuart Gillespie
Hendrie guided Saints to the first division title in 2000 and was desperately lucky not to keep us in the SPL. After this, however, he seemed to lose his wayand was eventually sacked in September 2002, with John Coughlin replacing him.

Hendrie has been out of football ever since, but with the departure of Terry Christie from the Alloa hotseat a few weeks ago, it was always likely that Hendrie would finally make his return. It's his second spell at Recreation park, as he was there with Coughlin before Saints took the pair away in December 1998. I'm sure current Alloa and former Saints players Iain Nicolson, Jamie McGowan and Scott Walker will be delighted to be reunited with Hendrie!

Alloa are currently bottom of division 2. If they wait a few days, Hendrie can have his former assistant back for nothing.
