Hegarty out for three months

SInce then, Hegarty played as a sub against Kilmarnock and started against St. Johnstone and Caley Thistle. In the latter, he lasted just 20 minutes before he had to go off, being replaced by Paul McQuade.

Saturday was the first time I've seen him so it would be unfair to judge him on the basis of 20 minutes, but losing any player for a minimum of three months is a blow. He joins fellow midfielder Steven Thomson on the long term injury list.
