Hammy Staying Put

Last updated : 04 June 2008 By Stuart Gillespie
Hamilton's arrival at the start of the year was hardly heralded as a great signing, but it seems to have worked out reasonably well. He started off with some decent performances after signing from Dunfermline - perhaps realising this was probably his last chance in the SPL - and he scored a goal against Hearts. His experience should help our other strikers, while his all round thuggery and phsyical presence is also a bonus!

Hamilton had agreed to stay at Love Street a few weeks ago, but the deal wasn't signed until this week. THe only other player who has still to be signed is Franco Miranda, with the process to bring him back to the club still underway.

Overall, the transfer dealings so far have been fairly positive. We've got four new players in and don't have to worry about uncertainty with contracts. Last season it took us until the end of June to sign even one player and the John Sutton saga dragged on for several weeks.
