Haddad interests Pars

Haddad left the club last week after the offer a contract to take him through to the end of the season was withdrawn. Danny Lennon had been keen to keep him, believing he could develop the former AZ Alkmaar and Telstar player into a real star, but the move fell down over personal terms.

Haddad has returned to Holland - current Saint Nigel Hasselbaink confirming as much on Twitter - but it seems Dunfermline are keen to bring him back. They could desperately do with strengthening their defensive line, but whether Haddad is the player to do it is open to debate.

Incredibly, Haddad would be the fifth former Saint at East End park, joining Gary Mason, John Potter and goalie Chris Smith and Paul Gallacher. Sadly, Gallacher has today been ruled out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Get well soon Paul!
