Guard of honour for Saints

Last updated : 28 March 2013 By Stuart Gillespie

It is traditional for this sort of thing to happen after a team has won a trophy or pulled off a terrific result - I seem to remember us doing it to Inverness Caley Thistle after they first went ballistic. However, it seemed unlikely considering we were up against one of the Old Firm, who we'd also beaten in the semi-finals.

But Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed today his team will indeed clap us onto the pitch on Sunday, which is a nice touch.

Another unwritten rule seems to be that after you've clapped your opponents onto the park you give them a good hiding. Hopefully they won't follow through on that part of the tradition!

In other cup winning news, it seems the DVD of the win over Hearts will be available tomorrow as planned.
