Greig Denham Retires

Last updated : 08 October 2003 By Stuart Gillespie
Denham was signed by Tom Hendrie from Falkirk in the summer of 2002, but due to injuries he only managed 17 appearances in the black and white. He failed to play in a league game before Christmas, due to a knee problem which was the result of some cruciate damage he suffered with Motherwell some years ago. Towards the end of the season he suffered cracked ribs and missed out on even more games. He ended up being released in the summer, much to his surprise, and vowed to come back to haunt Saints. It never happened, due to the fact he signed for Arbroath who are in a lower division.

During his 17 games with Saints, Greig managed to score 2 goals, the only goals in his senior career, the first coming against his old side Falkirk! When fit he was a sold defender, but sadly he was rarely, if ever, fully fit.

Mirren Mad would like to wish Greig, who is only 27, all the best in his retirement and wishes him well for the future.
