The midfielder was sent off with less than half an hour gone for a tackle on Kevin Thomson. At the time I thought it was the correct decision but after seeing the replays it looks ridiculously harsh. Thomson has clearly made the most of what little contact there was and you have to wonder if Goodwin's reputation played some part in ref Kevin Clancy's decision.
The review panel won't meet until next week, meaning Goodwin is free to play at Firhill. If the appeal is unsuccessful he'll miss the following week's game against Ross County.
