It was originally thought Gallacher would only have been out for a week or so and the international break would allow the problem to clear up. However, it has now emerged that he has a problem with his cartilage and has now gone under the knife to have the problem cleared up. He's likely to be out until November.
This is another blow to Saints, although deputy Craig Samson has come in and put in a couple of decent performances. He certainly hasn't been outstanding, but he's been far better than I reckoned he would be!
