Former Saint Heading For Germany?

Last updated : 07 April 2006 By Stuart Gillespie
Quitongo has never played for his country, and has rarely been back there since leaving to start his professional football career. However, he has been called up to their squad for some tournament or other at the end of April and could find himself playing at the World Cup in Germany this summer, which would be incredible.

Quitongo was rubbish for Saints over two years, and infuriated most Saints fans with his reluctance to shoot and pass when he should. What made it more annoying was that he was constantly a threat when he played against us! Admittedly he wasn't helped by Tom Hendrie playing him out of position.

After leaving Saints in 2002, he had spells at Kilmarnock, Hamilton and Alloa, before moving to Partick Thistle earlier this year.

Whilst I thought he was useless for us, I'd like to wish him good luck and hope he can achieve his world cup dream.
