Flu Threatens Game

The players were told to stay away from Love Street to stop the situation getting any worse, although the players have often been given a Wednesday off in the past anyway.

It is unknown how many players have the flu, but if it is a substantial number then Saturday's match against St. Johnstone could be cancelled. It would leave us without a game for the second weekend in a row, after last Saturday's match against Ross County was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. It would mean that Saints hadn't played since the cup game against Ayr, not good preparation for next week's game against Hibs.

Hopefully the game will go ahead, but if it is cancelled it won't be the first time it has happened in recent years. In December 1999 Saints crucial match against Dunfermline at East End park was postponed due to the Saints team being ill.
