I appreciate that it costs money to bring a team to Paisley for a friendly, however surely there is a lower league, Scottish side we could play at home for nothing. Since being promoted in 2006 we have played just one home friendly (ignoring that Renfrewshire Cup nonsense) - and that was five years ago. Is the pitch really that fragile that one additional game will destroy it - and do we get money from the likes of Dumbarton and Ayr for playing them, seeing as it apparently costs too much for us to attract teams?
Anyway, the usual trip to Dumbarton will be on July 12. Four days later the Renfrewshire Cup Final will be at Greenhill Road.
