Ex Saints On The Move

Paul McHale has, amazingly, been taken on trial by Hibs. Why they wish to sign him I have no idea, as he was pretty awful for us last season. He was hardly noticed during games, except with his goal against Inverness Caley. he did manage to miss three sitters against Ayr United however and I'd be surprised if Hibs offer him a contract.

Kris Robertson should sign for English side Crewe Alexandra today. Robertson had been linked with Blackburn Rovers and Aberdeen, partly because his dad was his agent. Crewe Alexandra is a big step down from this, however they can probably pay him more than Aberdeen could!

Iain Nicolson has signed a one year deal with second division Alloa Athletic. He left Love Street this time last year and signed for Ayr United. A great player who I would have back at Love Street any day, it seems strange he has had to drop to this level.

In these tight financial times, you'd expect most players to accept the first offer which was made to them, or explore every opportunity possible. Not so if you happen to be a big, tall, former Saints striker with a shaven head who claims he can't accept his agent. After leaving Saints, Martin Cameron claimed he was going to England on a few trials. Fair enough. He was then linked with Morton and Gretna, before it was announced he was going on trial with Northampton Town. Now he has decided he wants to stay in Scotland!

Expect to see Cameron back at Love Street in a few weeks....
