Dundee back in the SPL

At today's AGM chairmen had to make a decision between Dundee - who finished second in last year's first division - and Dunfermline, who were relegated from the SPL. There had been suggestions that newco Rangers would be voted in after the SFL's refusal to let them start in the first division but that came to nothing. So too did talk of SPL 2.

Instead they opted for Dundee, who are back in the top flight for the first time in seven years. Interestingly, their first game after they were relegated to the first division back then was against us at Dens Park. We lost 4-2 but went on to win the league so not all bad!

Hopefully today's meeting is the end of the matter, although with Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston saying he is now taking legal advice there may still be some way to go in this saga.
