Dorman To Check In?

Last updated : 23 December 2007 By Stuart Gillespie
The report was in the News of the World, so should be taken with a large pinch of salt - especially when you consider they reported last week that Clyde were trying to sign Chris Burke on loan. However, Dorman is available and his wages in America were low, so there may be an element of truth in this.

Dorman has spent his entire career in the States, having started off with Boston University. This season he seemed to establish himself in New England's side as their replacement for the Fulham bound Clint Dempsey, and scored seven goals in the process. However, his form tailed off towards the end of the season, leading to him being dropped.

Considering he's a creative midfielder with some physical presence, it would be a major shock if he decided to sign for Saints - especially with several Championship clubs wanting to sign him, and they can offer far more money.

Apparently he'll sign a two and a half year deal - but don't hold your breath.
