Dorman set to cross the border

Dorman's departure has long been predicted by Saints fans and he turned down a new contract offer as early as last November. Almost since he arrived at the club in 2008 he has been linked with a move to England, and he now looks set to turn speculation into reality.

Dorman arrived at Saints in January 2008, having played for New England Revolution in the MLS in America. His late runs from midfield into the box quickly made him a fans favourite at the club and he hit some superb runs of form in 2008/09 - particularly in January and towards the end of the season. His goal against Falkirk in May of 2009 effectively secured our SPL survival.

Last season, things weren't quite as good and he'd only scored one goal by mid-March as he struggled for form. However, on one glorious night he scored twice against Celtic in a stunning 4-0 win and that set him off and running. He scored a great goal at St. Johnstone after the split and his final strike in Saints colours was a header from a yard out that gave us three priceless points against Kilmarnock.

Thanks to a change in rules Dorman, who has no blood ties to Wales, was able to represent the Dragons and made his debut against Croatia a few years ago, becoming the first Saints player in years to get an international cap.

Thanks for the memories Andy, you'll be missed.

Another player who has left the club is Jack Ross, who was released last week. He's now being linked with moves to St. Johnstone, Motherwell and Hamilton.
