The former Abroath forward had a trial with Birmingham last season and Saints were reportedly close to signing him a few weeks ago. However, it then appeared we'd only offered him a trial but, with a firm contract offer on the table from Dundee, Doris has opted to ply his trade in the first division next season.
You can't really blame him for that. There's no guarantee he'd have been offered a contract by Saints and at the end of his trial Dundee may have opted to sign someone else.
