Dennis Wyness' Saints career came to an end last night after he agreed to terminate the remaining six months of his contract. The striker scored just four goals during his year and a half at the club.
On Monday, Wyness and fellow flop Mo Camara were both told they were free to find new clubs. Just 24 hours later, Wyness and Saints came to an agreement that allowed the striker to leave and it is hoped a similar deal will soon be reached with Camara.
Wyness had a fairly disappointing 18 months at the club, never recapturing the partnership with Craig Dargo that the pair had at Inverness Caley Thistle. However, he did score a winner against Falkirk and also the first goal by a Saints player at St. Mirren Park.
With Wyness and Stephen McGinn away, and Camara set to follow, there will surely be some new players before Monday's transfer deadline. The latest rumour is that Franco Miranda will be returning to Saints after leaving the club last summer.
