Deadline Day Deals Unlikely

MacPherson was a guest on Real Radio's football phone in last night and said there probably won't be any new signings or players leaving today. This is a blow for Saints fans, who had been hoping for at least one new player, perhaps a new striker, before the deadline.

One caller claimed he had seen Trinidad & Tobago international Andrews at Love Street yesterday, however MacPherson claimed this was just a new fitness instructor who looks like him.

Of course, this could all be nonsense. Going by some rumours, expect Andrews, Robbie Winters and Charlie Miller to all be signed by the end of the day, whilst Craig Molloy will sign for Preston!

If there are new arrivals, it means Saints will have signed just three players since the end of last season (plus a player/coach), whilst losing two. This is very bad.

What's happening at Mirren Mad Towers on the last day of the transfer window? Is everyone tuned in to Sky Sports News waiting on the latest signing news, whilst checking the web every five minutes?

Erm, no. So confident am I that there will be no transfer activity involving Saints, I'm going to Edinburgh this afternoon. That should hopefully ensure something happens...
