Dargo Set To Miss Opener

Dargo is Saints star summer signing and is seen is the ideal replacement for John Sutton. He scored two goals in the friendly against Dungannon Swifts but has hardly featured in any of the other pre-season matches.

The former Caley Thistle man has already had problem with his thigh during the summer and, having returned from that, he is now likely to be out for a while longer.

Should Dargo miss Saturday's game - which is extremely likely - Saints will probably field a strikeforce of Billy Mehmet and Stewart Kean. Alternatively, Roy Dayan could be handed his debut. It is believed the Israeli has already signed for Saints - along with the Argentine who was on trial - but the club has yet to announce the double capture. This has prompted rumours of another a third signing, possibly someone on loan from the Old Firm. Take your pick from Scott Cuthbert, Steven Lennon, Jim O'Brien or someone completely different.
