Cough Linked With Berwick Job

Coughlin is a former Berwick player and is one of a number of people being linked with the job, along with former Arbroath boss John Brownlie and Sauchie chief Willie Irvine. Berwick sacked their manager Paul Smith in a carpark after a draw last Saturday.

Coughlin came to Love Street as assistant to Tom Hendrie in late 1998. He was made caretaker manager when Hendrie left in 2002 and, despite being useless, was given the job full time. He continued to be rubbish last season and was sacked in November 2003, much to our relief.
