Captain Shuggy

McGowne was captain for the first two thirds of the season, at which point he was dropped and the position handed to Broadfoot.

Murray captained the side for the first time in Saturday's Renfrewshire Cup victory over Morton and made it clear in media interviews he would like the position full time.

As Shuggy is currently celebrating his testimonial year it seems like the obvious choice. Murray, who famously scored the goal that stopped Saints from slidding into oblivion in 1998, is hoping to announce the opposition for his testimonial match in the near future.
