Cameron Targeted

Ever since The Herald reported that Cameron was being targeted by Berwick as well as a number of other clubs last week, I was pretty sure we were one. As the week wore on, several people said they had heard Saints would be signing Cameron if Steven McGarry left for Inverness.

Speaking in today's PDE, Tom Hendrie admitted that was the case, saying "If Steven leaves the club then a possible target for us would be Martin Cameron, but we're just one of several clubs who would be interested in him if he managed to iron out his problems with Bristol. And there would be clubs out there prepared to give him more money than we would be able to, but at the moment he is nothing more than a possible target. Nothing is imminent. He's one of several who we are considering including Liam Keogh and Brain Launders, who played on Saturday."

Hendrie has worked with Cameron previously at Alloa before they went their separate ways, Hendrie to us and Cameron to Bristol. Cameron was on loan at Partick Thistle last season and scored some vital goals in their title run in.

I'd love it if we signed Cameron as he is exactly the sort of player we need. here's hoping we can come up with some sort of deal.
