Midfielder Greg Cameron is the latest player to join the Saints squad for pre-season training in a bid to win a contract. The 22-year-old is a free agent after being let go by Dundee United at the end of last season.
Cameron can play in midfield or fill in at the back if required. Saints boss Danny Lennon seems to think he can play on the left side of midfield and act as cover for Steven Robb, although whether he can remains to be seen.
He's had a fairly disappointing career since making his debut for United six years ago. He went for a period of two years without playing for the first time and was sent on loan to the likes of St. Johnstone, Raith Rovers and Shamrock Rovers at various times. He has, however, been capped for Scotland at various levels.
It'll be interesting to see how Lennon makes up his mind on Cameron as we have no more pre-season friendlies scheduled between now and the season opener against the Arabs on August 14.
