Bring On The Morton!

This, obviously, means that the other semi final tie will be between St. Johnstone and Hamilton, but no one really cares about that. What they do care about is the first competitive (you can forget your Renfrewshire Cup nonsense) derby match in more than three years, and the first at Love Street since January 2000!

This is all down to the incompetence of Morton, who have spent their time since then at least one division below Saints, although they almost managed to make it back into the same league in 2003/04 before spectacuarly blowing it!

Both teams will be desperate to win this match because it's a derby and a cup semi final, however Morton will be even more desperate as they haven't beaten us since 10th April 1999 (my birthday!) in a 5-1 hammering at Love Street.

The League Challenge Cup has been belittled for most of it's existence, but occasionally it throws up ties like this. I can't wait for it and will be looking forward to our easy passage to the final :-)
