Brechin was a frustrating player. He was talented, but his fitness was shocking and he was very inconsistent. He was given one last chance by Danny Lennon last season and failed to take it, so it was no surprise he was binned.
Now 34, the second division is probably about his level and he should do a job for Brechin. He'll link up with former Saint Craig Molloy - the pair played together in the same midfield at the start of the 2006/07 season.
