This will not be an easy tie. Even if you ignore our poor record against lower league sides in cup competitions, the fact Ayr have already seen to Inverness Caley Thistle and Hearts in this season's League Cup shows they are not to be taken lightly. There's also the small matter of former Saint Gareth Wardlaw now being an Honest Man. The striker will be unbelievably fired up for this one in a bid to prove Danny Lennon was wrong to let him go in the summer.
The good thing is it's at home - although we did knock Ayr out of the Scottish Cup at Somerset Park earlier this year. We managed the ame trick in 2009 too on our way to the League Cup Final, so maybe it's an omen.
The game will be played at Greenhill Road on either Tuesday, October 25 or Wednesday, October 26.
