Away to the Shire

Whether our season starts on the Saturday or the Sunday has still to be decided. The Shire are groundsharing with Stenhousemuir at the moment and the Warriors also have a home tie, theirs being against St. Johnstone. As it's their ground - and their tie was drawn first - it's likely they'll play on the Saturday, meaning we start on the Sunday.
Interestingly, Ochilview has a plastic pitch and it'll be interesting to see what Saints boss Gus MacPherson makes of that nearer the time. The last time we played the Shire in 2002 we thrashed them 7-0, but they have improved greatly in the past 12 months and this game certainly has banana skin written all over it.
