Mark Lamont has become the latest youth player to be loaned out in a bid to get first team experience. The midfielder has joined second division Dumbarton on loan until the end of the season.
Lamont - who made a substitute appearance for the first team against Kilmarnock last season - has been a regular in the under-19s this season and seems to be one of many players in our youth system who is highly rated. He won't be the only young Saint at Dumbarton, with defender Dominic Kennedy also on loan there, although he's only played three times.
Other youngsters currently at lower league clubs include amie McKernon at Ayr, Bradley Coyne at East Stirling, Adam McHugh at Forfar and Thomas Reilly at Albion Rovers.
