Alloa Sack Hendrie

Alloa have endured a terrible season in a year when their board hoped they would challenge for promotion. They have won hardly any games and find themselves stranded at the bottom of the second division. Hendrie had been told he'd be allowed to bring in new players to try to spark a change in fortunes, however it seems that the Alloa board have decided enough is enough and told him to clear his desk.

Hendrie was appointed Saints boss in December 1998, and incredibly brought the first division title to Love Street just eighteen months later. However, relegation from the SPL followed the season after, and the year after that we were almost relegated again. Hendrie came out with some brilliant comments that season, claiming Falkirk scored five goals from five breakways in a 5-1 hammering!

Hendrie was sacked at the start of 2002/03 and returned to Alloa, who he left for Saints, in late 2003.
