The tie will be played on February 6 or 7. If Rangers were to win, there's fair chance that the game would be on Sky, providing us some much needed cash. If this happens, then surely some money can be freed up to allow us to sign a few new player before the end of the month.
It will be a tough tie whoever we get. The threat of Rangers doesn't need explaining, while Hamilton did brilliantly to get a draw today and have won both their trips to St. Mirren Park without even conceding a goal. However, we are unbeaten in cup compeitions at our new home.
Today's draw also has another impact on Saints as the replay will be played in 10 days or so, meaning our scheduled trip to Hamilton on January 19 has been postpoed. With so many midweek games coming up, many folk at th cub will probably be happy to have the break.
