3 Out Of 4 Isn't Bad

I'll start with the Saints win. Wasn't there but it seemed a fine performance with us totally dominating against Arbroath to win 3-0. Iain Nicolson got the first from a Brian McGinty rebound, but Saints had to wait until the second half to score again, Barry McLaughlin scoring from a Chris Kerr cross. It was McLaughlin awho got Saints third from a Ricky Gillies corner, taking Trigger onto 5 for the season and one behind the joint top scorers McGinty and Jose Quitongo!

Falkirk got beaten 4-2 off of Ross County, despite being ahead twice. coupled with a Saints victory, this leaves St. Mirren 8 points clear of the drop zone, with Raith Rovers already officially relegated. With Falkirk having to go to Ayr next week, we are more or less safe.

Also relegated are those lovely folk at St. Johnstone, the Perth Scum finally getting what they deserved for helping Dundee United stay up last season. Despite Paul H*rtl*y putting them ahead, Motherwell equalised in the second half to send them down to our league, where we get the chance to say hello to that lovely Alain Main and hopefully rattle several past them next season.

Unfortunately, Partick Thistle could only draw against Airdrie. Owen Coyle put Airdrie ahead, but ex Saint and alround lazy bloke Alex Burns equalised with 10 minutes left. This means Saints will rake in the cash from a bumper Thistle crowd next week and get to play the part of party poopers. Airdrie play Raith, so this is a great chance for Saints to annoy Thistle, in what BBC Scotland disgracefully called a Glasgow derby.

If Falkirk don't win next week, we are safe. Stuff the rest of the results, as long as we win or Falkirk don't, I don't really care :-)
