Queen of the South v Saints Preview

What can be expected is anyone's guess, as Gus has only been an assistant manager since the summer. The injury situation is being kept quiet, which is fair enough considering it might give away the team plans. Could we be set for a return to a back three? Will Barry Lavety be given a start, or will we finally see the likes of Jeff Ferguson given their chance?

In regards to injuries its based on last weeks news. Kevin Twaddle and Paul McKnight are still injured, whilst Eddie Annand joins them having broken his foot again. Graham McWilliam and David Jack are also missing. As for the rest, it's anyone's guess. Gus may be fit to play, whilst Basher may finally be deemed fit enough for a place in the starting eleven. The midfield will be interesting considering two of our best midfielders, Mark Crilly and John O'Neill, are both suspended!

QoS have some goalie troubles, in that only former Ayr keeper John Dodds is fit. If memory serves me right Junior Mendes scored his last Saints goal against him exactly a year ago with a rather duff shot, so we should try and rain shots in at him?

No idea how well we do, though I reckon we've more of a chance than if Coughlin was in charge :-)
