Name: Nigel Hasselbaink

Date of birth: 21/11/1990

Position: Forward

Former clubs: PSV Eindhoven, Go Ahead Eagles, Hamilton

Signed: Summer 2011

Contracted to: Summer 2012

The nephew of former Leeds and Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd, Nigel started off his career with PSV Eindhoven. He failed to make it into the first team during his year's there although was loaned to Go Ahead Eagles in 2010. After leaving that summer, he moved to Scotland where he joined Hamilton and scored four goals as they were relegated from the SPL. He managed to stay in the top flight, though, as he made the move to Paisley. When he played against Saints he appeared to have pace and power, but was rather raw and his finishing wasn't great. Started the season in superb style with some fantastic runs and scored against Aberdeen, his strength and pace causing trouble for most opposition strikers. Dropped off towards the end of 2011 but still a great player to have in the squad and should benefit from Steven Thompson's experience.
