Lewis the Guy to sort lack of goals?

Cowdenbeath's Jon Robertson has already signed a pre-contract agreement to move to Greenhill Road at the end of the season and it has emerged that Guy has done the same. The 26-year-old started his career at Newcastle United so it is likely Saints assistant manager Tommy Craig worked with him in the past and is the driving force behind this deal, which has been rumoured on Saints fourms for the past month or so.

Guy was actually on trial at the club in January - having been released by MK Dons earlier in the month - but couldn't sign because he has already played for MK Dons and Oxford United this season. He can still play for non-league sides and Workington Reds had tried to bring him in but Saints have apparently threatened not to sign him if he joins the Blue Square North outfit. Guy will, however, continue to train with the Cumbrian side.

As well as playing for Newcastle, Doncaster and MK Dons Guy has also had loan spells at Oxford, Hartlepool and Oldham. Since making his first team debut in 2004 he has scored just 31 goals - hardly the prolific striker we're looking for! He's also played just 41 league games in the last 18 months.

Doesn't sound promising but I suppose there have been other players - Michael Higdon and Paul Heffernan (a former team-mate of Guy's) - who haven't exactly done well in England but have banged them in for fun up here.
