Celtic youngster Graham Carey became Saints' second signing of the transfer window this morning when he agreed to join on loan until the end of the season. And it seems we're not finished yet...

Carey, a Republic of Ireland under-21 international, is predominantly a left winger but can also play left back or right midfield. Although the 20-year-old has played just once for Celtic, he spent last season on loan at Irish club Bohemians, helping them to win the league. They were keen to keep him on for their Champions League games, but a deal couldn't be agreed.

Judging by Wikipedia (so it must be true), Carey can produce good crosses and free-kicks and is willing to take players on. These are attributes that have been sorely lacking in recent weeks, so this could be a great signing.

There is likely to be at least one more signing today, with a deal for Ayr United midfielder Ryan Stevenson supposedly already done. Not too sure if that would be a good signing, while we've also been linked with Hibs' Lewis Stevenson and Motherwell's Keith Lasley.

It could be an interesting day.
