The transfer window may be closed, but Danny Lennon is still trying to strengthen his Saints squad and has handed trials to two players - one of whom is former Dundee and Ross County player Amick Ciani.

Danny Lennon's attempts to bring Alan Gow to Saints are officially over. The former Rangers and Falkirk forward today joined Motherwell on a deal that will keep him at Fir Park until the end of the year.

Hegarty is last man standing

Former Grimsby Town winger Nick Hegarty has become Saints' 12th and final signing of the summer as the Alan Gow deal collapsed and two other trialists have been told to go away.
